Last week myself & Dan gave a talk entitled ‘FUN-dercats. Ho!’ at the TEDxBristol event. We had a real blast whilst doing it and the day itself was very inspiring and engaging. Because our talk was about fun, and I made my entrance on a children’s slide, we thought that it wasn’t fair that I get all the fun, so we gave a little gift to all the attendee’s of TEDx…
Original Aardman modelling clay! Its actual used clay that the model makers have used. That’s why there’s so many different colours, because they’ve had a previous life as a puppet for a commercial or film or TV show! Dan & me spent 2 hours the night before the talk clumping it all out and rolling it into a ball, adding the W&G stamp to make it look pretty. The lovely Ellie then popped them all in boxes and stuck the lids down with the ‘MAKE FUN’ sticker I designed and that Ripe Digital kindly printed.
The gift of clay seemed to go down a treat, so I’m really glad we decided to do it! A big thanks to Enty, the Head of Model Making who gave us the clay in the first place!
