I’m very proud to show you this, my design for the identity of my friends new restaurant that’s opened right here in Bristol, called The Cowshed. My friend and her husband have a real passion for this place and have poured everything into it. It shows as soon as you walk into the place, it looks beautiful I’m really stoked to have been able to be involved in the place, creating a restaurant identity is something new for me, so really honoured to have got the chance to do one! It’s always nice to work in different styles and experiment, i always find you learn a lot by trying different methods & techniques. Yesterday I got sent some great shots of the printing-in-progress of my ‘Skids are for Kids’ t-shirt of the month direct from Howies printing HQ! How’s that for speed: mocked up, printed, photographed, uploaded, blogged, tweeted & newslettered - all on the same afternoon, Howies don’t muck about at all! The tee is now available in-store too so if you happen to pass by the Bristol or Carnaby Street store, pop in and grab a shirt - it’s a T-Shirt of the month so you’ve not got long to cop one! A big thank you again to Howies for the opportunity, I’ve been a big fan of the company and their ethos, so it’s great to be involved in my own little way!

I’m over the moon to say that this is a t-shirt design I did for the wonderful Howies I wanted to do something bike-related, as Howies are very fond of the two-wheeled contraptions, so I played with some phrases until I remembered my man Rich say “Skids are for kids!” And the rest, they say, is history. Really happy to show you this, my latest piece of identity work, this time for the lovely Team Rubber’s Viral Ad Network (shortened to VAN) They wanted an ice cream van but with a bit of ‘edge’, well to quote the clients themselves: “needs to take a small turning and bang into the odd wall, run over a few children and then sell drugs to grannies behind Tesco for a bit. Then head to a carwash to try and look superficially respectable again and we’re done” So here we have it, my superficially respectable ice cream truck :D

I’m honoured to say that I illustrated the new front cover of the latest issue (#129) of Computer Arts Projects magazine, which is on the shelves from today! The crest graphic is a re-work of my original Coat of Arms for Fifty Fifty, with everything changed to nod at the design world, from the Unicorns pencil to the shield featuring the four tools of design. it’s all finished off with a popping colour scheme by art director Al Wardle plus a whole heap of metallic print to make it shine! There’s also a 2-page feature inside the mag on how I created the cover, which was nice to explain how it all happened! A big thanks to Al and all at Computer Arts Projects for the opportunity for the cover, you can get yours from all good magazine retailers from today!

More cheeeese P.O.S?The Minnesota MC does a mean ‘Wallace’ Doomtree’s finest P.O.S. & Paper Tiger came over to the UK to support the King Blues on tour, and they came and played The Fiddlers here in Brizzle They played an amazing set and along with my man Abjekt, they all crashed at mine so we treated them to a whistletop tour of Bristol’s finest spots - Magic Roll for a 1am dinner and Boston Tea Party for an 8am breakfast Now then, if you don’t know about P.O.S. then let this educate you Click the photo to see all the photo’s from the night!

I can’t describe this video better than the most inspirational thing I’ve ever seen. I don’t fail to be inspired and humbled every time I watch this. Cartoon speaks the truth.

- High praise indeed! Danny Wainwright, legend and one half of Fifty Fifty gave me the above praise, I’ll take that indeed, I’m a huge admirer of Benny’s work!
